2007 CPRA Princess

Chelsy Dean the 15 year old daughter of Jody and David Dean of Abilene Kansas, earned the title of Miss C.P.R.A Princess 2007. Chelsy also won the honors of horsemanship, speech, interview, categories and as well as People's Choice. 

 Chelsy is a Freshman at Abilene High School where she is active in FFA, Horse and Livestock Judging, High School Marching Band, and Girls Ensemble.  She is a member of the National Barrel Horse Association, the American Quarter Horse Association, the Buckeye Saddle Club. Eastern Kansas Horseman's Association, has been a member of 4-H for 8 years  and is a member of the Youth Leadership Ministry Team at Emmanuel Church.  She has won numerous horse related champion awards in Barrel Racing, Judging and Competition.  Holding this title is her most prized accomplishment along with her saddle and buckles.  She is very proud to have received the DJ Prochaska Miss Congeniality on two occasions as this award is given by her peers.  

 This was the 10th year anniversary for the C.P.R.A. Queen Contest and Chelsy will have a chance to travel while representing the sport that is dear to her heart as an ambassador for rodeo.  Chelsy is proud to promote all the historical attributes that Abilene has to offer as well.  Jenna Nelson of Garden City is the 2007 CPRA Queen and Destiny Mestugh of McLouth is the 2007 Little Miss  The 2007 Royalty will travel the states of Kansas,  Missouri and Oklahoma to represent the Central Plains Rodeo Association and the sport of rodeo.  Chelsy would like her Mom, Dad and four sisters for their support and dedication to her.  Chelsy would all so like to Thank Vicki and Jeremiah Woods for helping coach her to the top!  Vicki was Miss Rodeo Kansas 2000.
